Understanding the new consumer-brand dynamic

(An introduction to my book for the marketing and communications fraternity)

It’s been a long time coming. The Me Era™ is ready.

It is based on an interesting role reversal. Today, consumers are the real brands and brands are the real consumers.

I have taken the liberty of peppering the narrative with shout-outs to brand communication that I have found highly compelling. These are examples that have stood out for me either as award entries that I have judged or as case studies I have discovered in my annual advertising pilgrimage to Cannes Lions over the last 15 years.
